Apple, Pear & Fig Burger with Melting Stilton

The ultimate burger for cheese & chutney lovers! Fruity chutney is beautifully balanced with blue cheese in these juicy pork patties.

Apple, Pear & Fig Burger with Melting Stilton By

You'll need

400g pork mince
50g breadcrumbs
½ a jar of Apple, Pear and Fig Chutney
2 tbsp sunflower oil
200g stilton, sliced
4 burger buns, sliced in half
salad leaves or cress, to garnish

For the chips

1 kg potatoes, cut into wedges

½ jar of Sweet Tomato Chilli Chutney
2 tbsp olive oil

How to make

Preheat the oven to 200C. Start by making the chips. Place the wedges on a baking tray and brush with the olive oil. Roast for 30 minutes, until golden then brush with the Sweet Tomato Chilli Chutney 

Meanwhile place the mince, breadcrumbs and Apple, Pear and Fig Chutney in a bowl and mix well with your hands. Shape into 4 burger shaped patties. Drizzle over the sunflower oil. Either cook the burgers on a BBQ or fry in a frying pan until cooked. Griddle the burger buns for 1 minute until charred and warm.

Divide the burgers between the buns, top with some stilton and salad leaves. Serve with the chips.
